I am new to L.A. (or am moving to the L.A. area), how can I find out more info?
There are a few ways to find out what is going on with the L.A. Texas Exes: 1. Sign up for the L.A. Texas Exes email list, 2. Visit this Web site regularly, 3. Check the L.A. Texas Exes message boards, and 4. Make sure your membership and address are up to date with the Texas Exes.

What is the L.A. Texas Exes?
The L.A. Texas Exes is a local chapter of Texas Exes (formerly The Ex-Students' Association of The University of Texas). It is a volunteer run organization whose mission is to create opportunities for fellowship and meaningful alumni involvement for Texas Exes members while carrying out association programs at the local level.

How do I become a member of the L.A. Texas Exes?
Since the L.A. Texas Exes is the official chartered chapter of the Texas Exes (formerly The Ex-Students’ Association of The University of Texas), membership in the Texas Exes automatically makes you a member of your local chapter. Chapter membership is also determined by zip code, so please make sure your address is current with the Texas Exes. Visit the membership section to update your address and/or check your membership status.

How do I know if I am a member?
All Texas Exes members receive the alumni magazine Alcalde and local event post cards. If you do not receive the Alcalde or any local event post cards, it is for one of two reasons: 1. Texas Exes does not have your most recent address, or 2. You are not a current Texas Exes member. Please visit the membership section to update your address, check your membership status, or join the Texas Exes.

Do I have to be a member to attend events?
You do not have to be a member to attend events, but members do receive discounted ticket prizes and occasional freebies. Official membership in the Texas Exes also financially supports the L.A. Texas Exes through communication expenses and more.

Where do you watch football games and other sporting events?
All football games are watched at two official L.A. Texas Exes centers: Mr. Pockets Sports Bar in Manhattan Beach. Located at 516 N. Sepulveda Blvd. in Manhattan Beach, 310.372.4343. Mr. Pockets has an extensive satellite system and often purchases pay-per-view games for the L.A. Texas Exes. uWink. 6801 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood CA 90028, 323.466.1800. Mr. Pockets and uWink also make generous donations in support of the L.A. Texas Exes.
