| Thirsty Thursday |
Falling on the first Thursday of each month, Thirsty Thursday is a monthly happy hour for Texas Exes and friends. Location varies, event begins at 7:30 PM, but most people show up between 8:30 and 9:00 PM. Join L.A. area email list to stay up-to-date on the monthly locations. |

A spring fundraiser for the whole family! We order the Crawfish live and the spices from Louisiana and re-create an old Texas tradition of hot boiled crawfish, corn and potatoes. | Texas Independence Day |
On March 2, 1836, Texas declared its independence from Mexico and became the Republic of Texas. Life was never the same again. In Texas, March 2 is an official state holiday - Texas Independence Day. In Los Angeles, we celebrate it by getting together for food, drinks, and fun-- celebrating being Texans! Look for the L.A. The L.A. Texas Exes Chapter Scholarship was first awarded in 1998 and has been given annually to a local Los Angeles student attending U.T. each year since. The chapter endowed the scholarship in 2004. |

The student recruitment program of the L.A. Texas Exes. Exes for Texas includes an annual send off party for students from the L.A. area leaving to attend their freshman year at UT, attending local high school college nights on behalf of UT, and more. |
